Welcome to the Union Mill ES Advanced Academic Resource Page. Fairfax County believes that every child has the basic right to an education that promotes the development of his or her potential. Each child has a unique profile of strengths and abilities. We at UMES are committed to providing challenging learning experiences for all students that build individual strengths and optimize abilities.
Interested in seeing what your child is doing in the STEAM Lab? You can sign up for a Class Dojo account to view pictures and blurbs of students in action. Simply log in to your child’s Blackboard account and choose “Ms. LaBarbera’s STEAM Lab and Advanced Academic Site.” Click the blue tab titled, “STEAM Lab Photos” and you will find directions on how to set up an account. You can download an application using a smartphone or the Class Dojo website. If you have any questions, please contact Michelle LaBarbera.
